Easy Peach Cobbler

Alright. I've realized that...I DON'T KNOW HOW TO COOK!! Haha. I'm almost 24, single, and still a college student. Someday I'm going to have to cook meals for my family everyday. I better start learning now! So I've been gathering recipes and typing them out in hopes to print them out and make a recipe book. My goal is to woo my future husband with my cooking....haha...right. =) Anyways. I've started with simple recipes. I kept some recipes that I loved from people on mission. I came across Easy Peach Cobbler given to me by Coco Scott. Super easy and probably everyone already knows about it. But when she made this for Sister Iotita and I, I could NOT stop eating it. It was sooo good and I was already in this weird funk because I was about to go home in a week or so. But anyways, here it is. Enjoy!

1 stick butter (melted)
2--3/4 cup sugar (1 for mixture and 1 for fruit)
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup milk
1/4 t salt
1 t baking powder
1 1/2 large cans (13 oz) drained fruit. (I just used 1 large can because I like the bread part more than the fruit part of the cobbler)

Put melted butter in 9x13 casserole dish. Mix 3/4 c sugar, flour, milk, baking powder, and salt and beat well. Pour over butter in dish. Do not stir. Mix together fruit and 3/4 c sugar. Pour over mixture. Do not stir. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Top with ice cream or evaporated milk. YUM!
